WHICH VISA SHOULD I APPLY FOR FIRST TIME GOING TO KOREA, FIRST TIME PLASTIC SURGERY?

When you first come to Korea and intend to have plastic surgery, you need to apply for the appropriate visa. LIVE AGAIN would like to introduce 2 types of visas that you can consider: 

  1. Tourist Visa (C-3-9): 

This is the most common visa type for international visitors to Korea for tourism, including plastic surgery purposes. 

This is a single-entry visa, maximum stay of 30 days, valid for 3 months. 

 

* Document processing time (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) 

– Regular travel company: 11 days 

– Individuals: 16 days

  1. Medical Tourism Visa (C-3-3):

This visa is for people coming to Korea for medical treatment, including plastic surgery. 

To apply for this visa, you need an invitation letter from a hospital or medical facility registered with the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare. 

The maximum stay is also 90 days. 

Necessary documents include invitation letter from medical facility, treatment plan, financial documents and personal documents. 

 

* Document processing time (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) 

– Individuals: 16 days 

– In case of submission to hospitals with excellent performance designated by the Ministry of Justice: 14 days

Notes when applying for a visa to Korea for plastic surgery: 

  • Make sure that the plastic surgery facility you choose is reputable and legally licensed. 
  • You should contact the Korean Visa Center, Embassy or Consulate directly for detailed information and latest updates on visa application processes and requirements. 
  • If you need to stay in Korea longer than 90 days for medical reasons, you may need to apply for a visa extension or another more suitable visa type, please contact the above agencies to ask for details.
