FIX DROOPY EYELIDS

What are droopy eyelids?

Ptosis is a condition in which the upper eyelid levator muscle is weak, congenital or acquired due to sequelae of trauma or improper double eyelid surgery, causing the eyelids to droop and cover the lower pupil.

If you have droopy eyelids, your eyes will look sleepy, your eyebrows will be raised excessively, and wrinkles may form on your forehead due to the need to wrinkle your forehead to ensure vision. This can lead to many inconveniences such as headaches and eye strain.

What basic ways are there to fix droopy eyelids?

There are two ways: without surgery and with surgery. Non-surgical eyelid droop fix is “Eye muscle adjustment”, eyelid lining with a natural thin line will be created and knotted at the eye opening muscle to help improve droopy eyelids and improve vision. Moreover, it also helps the eyelids become clearer and the eyes look more sparkling.

The surgical method is to remove muscle and fat after incision (if necessary), then the eyelids will be adjusted to strengthen the eyelid lifting muscle.

Potential risks and complications

Like any surgery, there are potential risks and complications associated with ptosis fix. May include infection, bleeding, scarring, vision problems or recurrence of droopy eyelids. However, Wonderful Doctors can minimize the risk of these complications.

What is the difference between fixing droopy eyelids with surgery and without surgery?

As the name suggests, the difference lies in whether there is an incision or not. Wonderful said that the non-surgical method should be chosen for people with thin skin, do not necessarily need too big eyelids or can afford to even “open the corners of the eyes”. Or people with mild to moderate droopy eyelids.

People with weak eye opening force or severely misaligned eyes or who have had previous conjunctival stye surgery… should choose to fix droopy eyelids with surgery.
