On February 18, 2023, the launch of the Vietnam Cancer Club in Ho Chi Minh City took place successfully. Dr. Kelly, from the University of Pennsylvania, with her deep affection for Vietnam, founded the Vietnam Cancer Club—a platform that connects American cancer specialists with healthcare professionals in Vietnam. The goal is to enhance the capabilities of the Vietnamese medical team in the fight against cancer.
The club had already been active in Hanoi for some time, but thanks to the sponsorship of Live Again, the official launch event in Ho Chi Minh City was made possible.
During the event, Dr. Kelly introduced the Club and shared her insights on cancer care trends in Vietnam after over two years of experience in the country. Another speaker, Dr. Yi, discussed the importance of teamwork in cancer patient care and the potential of multimodal treatment in improving cancer care outcomes.
Additionally, the Director of Live Again Vietnam, Dr. Kim Jung Eun (from the Radiology Department), was present and shared valuable insights into South Korea’s healthcare system and how Live Again is working to provide optimal solutions for Vietnamese patients seeking to regain their health.
The launch event was a great success, attracting a large number of young doctors, medical students from universities, medical interns, and renowned doctors from across Vietnam.
